PPL is always the first degree before going for a commercial or air transport pilot's qualification. If you decide to gain your PPL with us, we will help you plan a cost-effective way to get the higher ratings (CPL, MEP, IR, ATPL). However, within PPL you can also get other ratings, like towing training or earning a multi-engine qualification.
The medical exam for private pilot's license is not rigorous and most of the usual health issues (like wearing eyeglasses or high blood pressure) are not an obstacle. Almost every middle-aged or younger person passes the exam.
Yes, after acquiring the private pilot's license you have the right to fly with other people on board. Some airplane owners want you to fly a certain number of hours (e.g. 10) on the airplane type before taking someone else on board, but that's not a rule.
Anywhere. Private pilot's license is internationally recognized and you can rent and fly airplanes with it all over the world.
With regularly used airplanes (Cessna, Zlin, Piper) you can fly non stop from, for example, Prag to Croatian coast. Fuel reserves usually alow you to fly around four hours non-stop on cruise speeds between 180 and 200 km/h.
Technically, around 12 hours a year. However, we suggest to fly more than that, the above-mentioned demand is bare minimum from the standpoint of maintaining the flight habits and safety.
After you compare the number of airplane accidents and road accidents, it's easy to say which is safer. Great majority of air accidents are caused by breaking the flight rules. If you fly according to the rules the probability of having an accident is very small.
